Alive And Well
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also (John 14:19).
Thought For Today:
Are you living or just existing? You see, if all you do is wake up each morning and worry you are just existing, not living. But if you wake up excited about each new day, eager for the challenges it will bring and what you can do for Jesus, ready at any moment to go through those pearly gates, then you are truly living. Paul said, "For me to live is Christ." In other words, God’s not dead, He’s alive. And if you claim to be a born-again Christian, then you must show the life of Christ in your body, just as Jesus arose from the grave. Dead people are in the grave, but those who are walking around are supposed to be alive. If you feel like you are dead today, then stir up the gift that is within you. One of the requirements for the children of Israel regarding the Tabernacle in the wilderness was that they had to bring fresh oil to the temple every day. Fresh oil prevented the lamps from smoking, provided a clean smell, and gave a brighter light. David said, "I shall be anointed with fresh oil." If you begin your day with a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost through prayer and reading the word of God, you will burn brighter and not look or smell dead. Dead fires only produce smoke and ashes; but a live fire has flames and burnable resources. Jesus said, "Because I live, ye shall live also." God’s not dead, He’s alive.
