Anxious For Nothing
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
(Job 3:25-26)
Thought For Today:
Have you ever experienced that moment when something you've been told about becomes a reality? It's natural to feel anxious about the future and dwell on all the "what ifs," "if only(s)," and "I wished I had(s)." Each new day brings its own set of challenges that are beyond our control. As humans, we must acknowledge who we are and accept that we will face difficult times. The Bible contains numerous stories that impart valuable lessons. For example, the story of Job teaches us that regardless of our relationship with God, social status, or background, we cannot avoid hardships. Even when we feel secure, troubles may still come our way. However, if we keep our focus on Jesus and live in accordance with His Word, we can face troubles with a joyful heart. As Paul said, "But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God" (Acts 20:24).
