Confess It

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:1-4)

Thought For Today:

It has been stated that sometimes people can't sleep at night because they have a heavy conscience. When things are hidden in our hearts that shouldn’t be there, we develop anxiety. Maybe someone is aware of the crime that was committed, or they know who did it. Maybe they know the wrongs that others have done to others or to themselves, or they know of who have escaped from jail or prison, yet they are afraid to come forth with the truth out of fear.  And so they live their lives in torment, pain, panic, and even sleeplessness.

This is how it is with the gospel.  I believe it’s possible for us to know the truth, yet hold it in because of fear. We can end up living our lives spiritually tormented, restless, and full of regrets. Paul said that if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.

People are serving time in jail for crimes they did not commit, while someone who knows the truth refuses to confess.  People are serving time in Satan's jails right now because others who know the truth won't come forth and confess it.  Remember, if the truth can make one free, shouldn't we desire to make everyone free?  If Jesus Christ made you free, shouldn't you desire to make someone else free? Freely you have received, freely give.
