Don’t Leave The Way You Came
But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.
(Ezekiel 46:9)
Thought For Today:
How many of you have ever left church the same old way that you entered? Do you ever think to yourself, "Why did I even go?" Well, if your answer to those questions are yes, then you need to do a self-examination. Paul told the church at Corinth: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates" (2 Corinthians 13:5-6).
You see, we must enter His gates with thanksgiving and come into His courts with praise. If at a minimum you heard the reading of the scripture for the sermon, then you should purposly leave out a different way.
Then you should go home and search out the scriptures you heard and see what the Lord is trying to tell you.
Oftentimes, the reason we don't get anything out of the service is because we are focusing on people and our surroundings instead of Christ. You have to purpose in your heart to leave out of every service as a changed person.
Song - You won’t leave here like you came, In Jesus Name
Chorus 1
And you won't leave here
Like you came in Jesus' name
Bound oppressed tormented
Sick or lame
'Cause the Holy Ghost of Acts
Is still the same
You won't leave here
Like you came in Jesus' name
Verse 1
The Spirit of the Lord is on me
To preach the Gospel to the poor
To heal the sick to set the captive free
The Spirit of the Lord is on me
Verse 2
God's anointed me to preach and teach
He confirms the Word consistently
Signs and wonders follow faithfully
God's anointed me to preach and teach
Verse 3
God wrought special miracles by Paul
And through Paul's hands the power was passed on
God anoints whomever that He please
And He's chosen the tongue and pen of me
