Just a little talk with Jesus
A Psalm of David.
LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (Psalms 141:1-2).
Thought For Today:
I've read books, attended conferences, heard sermons, led services, and taught on prayer, yet I still feel I don't pray enough. Don't get me wrong, I know how to pray, love to pray, and find strength by it, but there are times when I feel that I need to turn up the tempo a little bit more.
This one thing I know, sicknesses, hurts, divorces, backsliders, discouraged ministries, discouraged children, and so on, can be changed through prayer. We need to understand that intercessory prayer is the secret to change. Another essential style of prayer is thanksgiving and praise. I believe that thanksgiving and praise produces a sweet fragrance in the Spirit realm.
Just a little talk with Jesus:
I once was lost in sin,
but Jesus took me in,
and then a little light from heaven filled my soul’
it bathed my heart in love
and wrote my name above,
and just a little talk with Jesus made me whole.
Now let us have a little talk with Jesus,
let us tell him all about our troubles,
he will hear our faintest cry,
and he will answer by and by;
and when you feel a little prayer wheel turning,
and you know a little fire is burning,
you will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right.
