Know The Doctrine
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them (Luke 11:44).
Thought for Today:
It's amazing to me how many Christians lack knowledge or understanding of their church's doctrine and teachings. They spend little time studying or searching to determine if what is being taught aligns with the word of God or if it is man-made. Many churches today continue to live and operate under the Old Testament Law, even if some may believe they aren't. The Scribes and Pharisees clung to Old Testament practices, and Jesus aimed to reveal that their teachings merely created graves, leading people to walk blindly into them. We must all recognize the importance of teachings, for a grave represents death. Following doctrines that do not empower you to resemble Jesus in holiness, purity, and separation from worldly influences are teachings of death. So, let me encourage you today: don't just sit on that pew and listen; instead, open the Bible, study the doctrine and teachings you are receiving, and see if they align with the Word of God. Remember, Jesus came to give us life, not death.
