Queen Of The Castle

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. (Proverbs 14:1)

Thought For Today: 
Solomon said that every wise woman buildeth her house.  The Psalmist also tells us that except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it (Psalm 127:1).  These passages indicate that a wise woman should organize the things of God in her home.  She must ensure that the principles and teachings of God are put into practice in her home.  She is the keeper of the atmosphere in her home.  She must stay alert, not allowing anything in her home that will destroy.  This is why she is to be the keeper.  In olden times, the married woman did not work outside of the home; her home was her job.  She was to ensure it was kept up, clean, and neat for her family.  She ensured there was an atmosphere for the presence of God at all times.  But today, the principle of good housekeeping seems to be missing for many homes and I can't help but think that this is contributing to divorce, rebellious children, stress, and unfaithfulness in the land.  A wise woman still builds her house.
