Speak To Your Mountain
I love looking at the mountains. Teton Mountains, Smoky Mountains, Rocky Mountains; Bear Tooth Pass is our absolute favorite place to visit. Mountains are so massive. I can look at mountains all day long and stand in awe.
One thing comes to mind when I see mountains, and that is POWER! I feel so small, and I marvel at God’s powerful creation.
The bible speaks about the mountains. In a spiritual sense, Mountains represent massive, unmoving obstacles in our lives. They are things we cannot move in our own human strength.
The big Misconception is that we often think having faith means we will never face a mountain.
Many believers spend years begging God to move a mountain that He has already given them the authority to speak to.
You MUST Shift Your Perspective (Have Faith in God)
Jesus begins Mark 11:22 by saying, "Have faith in God."
Before you address the obstacle, your focus must be anchored in the Almighty.
Isn’t that what we are doing today! We are anchoring ourselves in God. The danger of missing church is that your anchor starts to loosen. Eventually you begin to drift.
If you focus entirely on the mountain, it looks bigger than God. If you focus on God, the mountain looks like a grain of sand.
Jesus explicitly tells us to "say to this mountain." He does not say "cry to it," "complain about it," or "analyze it."
Words release spiritual authority. When Jesus faced a raging storm, He did not ignore it—He spoke to it and commanded, "Peace, be still."
Name your mountain precisely. Also address it directly using Scripture. Speak peace to anxiety, order to financial chaos, and healing to sickness.
The scripture text specifies that the speaker must "not doubt in his heart, but believe that those things he says will be done." Real simple - Doubt is divided focus.
