Surprise Attacks

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:17-19)

 THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

The enemy will usually attack just before daybreak, knowing that his prey is in a venerable state. He will wait until you are totally unaware. It’s commonly known as a surprise attack. Even a burglar will usually wait until it’s late or very early in the morning so that you are in a deep sleep, or unaware.

The military will train their soldiers to get up very early, with an urgency to scramble into a guard position, or attack position for that very purpose. I’ve even heard of soldiers who were placed on the line of fire, prior to daybreak, for firing drills. If any enemy was out there, they were sure to get hit. When is the last time you got up early and fired off some attack prayers into your selected sector of fire?  There's an enemy trying to get into your perimeter. Don’t wait to be attacked, use the element of suprise.

Jesus saw Satan fall like lightning. Lightning is fast, loud, unexpected, and powerful. And I promise you one thing, Satan didn’t see it coming.
