Helping Others

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:20-25)

Thought For Today:
As we age, we often become more dependent on others for help. It touches my heart when I hear of someone who decides to mow a yard or help clean the house of an elderly person. To me, that's what true compassion is all about: helping someone else with their trash or bringing them a plate of food.

You see, so many folks have so much trash in their lives that they don't know where to turn for help or how to get rid of it.  But Jude lets us know that we must have compassion, making a difference in others lives: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.  If you think of all the trash that Jesus has helped you with, you should be willing to help someone else get theirs out, too.   Have you taught a Bible study lately?
